Aftercare
Standard Bandage
Step 1.
Leave bandage on for 2 hours unless instructed otherwise by your artist.
Step 2.
Use clean hands to remove bandage and lather tattoo with warm water and antibaterial fragrance-free liquid soap.
Step 3.
Do not use wash cloths or anything abrasive. Rinse well and blot dry with clean paper towel or air dry.
Step 4.
Apply thin layer of A&D or aquaphor ointment then wipe off excess with damp cool towel, repeat 2-3 times a day for 2 days.
Step 5.
Discontinue the ointment and apply unscented lotion after washing and drying of the tattoo. Let it absore and do not wipe it off.
Continue to washing 2x a day until peeling phas begins, you reduce the washing to once a day.
Adhesive Bandage
Step 1.
Leaving application on 3-5 days before remvoing. It is normal to see fluid build up beneath the bandage. If it leaks, tattoo is expose, please remove it immeditaly.
Step 2.
Gentely peel away the bandage, reccomend remvoing it when showering under lukewarm water with clean hands.
Step 3.
Lather tattoo with warm water and antibacterial fragrance-free liquid soap. Use clean paper towel to dry the area.
Step 4.
Use unscented lotion and apply thin layer over the tattoo daily until heal.
General Information
FOR THE NEXT 2 WEEKS OR UNTIL HEAL:
NO picking, itching or scratching!
NO swimming or submerging of the tattoo in any kind of water!
NO tanning or sun exposure!
NO gyms, exercising, or straining activities!
NO tight or constricting clothing!
Until the healing process is finished, your tattoo is vulnerable to infection and irritation. If you notice any symptoms of infection, such as increased tenderness, warmth, or redness, please contact your doctor immediately.
